Turn leading on to the straight is a tricky one. Little off camber, and if you take too much curb it'll put you in a slide pointed towards a cement wall. I myself had a very close call on my first session. After that a guy told me a lot of cars have been lost there, it's the last corner you want to try and find time on, so I never pushed it again. 2nd session the mini wasn't able to save it. Dude was pretty cool, his biggest complaint was that he didn't have his gopro working to catch it. Apparently he has half a mini worth of parts in his garage. That's the right attitude to come to a track day with.

yep! Sounds like good ol' Hogspen at VIR. off camber right hander, take too much curb and some guys panic and lift, causing them to spin and end up in the tire wall. I have been off before there, but I have never lifted so I usually just drive straight into grass lol. On our 3rd session of the last day, my roommate's student smashed a celica into it. Not too bad though as its got a tirewall there. Much softer than concrete!
Looks like fun! How often do you visit the track?

This was my second time, although the first was CCW, this was CW, so it's a whole new experience. Absolutely hands down the best track west of the Mississippi. Group of guys came down from British Columbia, a 8 hour, 400 mile trip, they say they do it couple times a summer. If you're within 500 miles, go.
Then:
Now:
new brakes, wheels, suspension, tires, oil cooler, computer, and ducting. The things we do for track days...
