You just won a million cash...build your dream miata.
Let's just pretend right now that you won $1,000,000 cash.
If this happened to me, obviously I'd pay off all my debt first, most likely sell my house, buy or build a bigger one (which would be paid for in cash), and I'd still have easily over $600,000 left over. I'm pretty sure I'd keep my miata and make all my miata dreams come true with it, but what would you guys do to a or "your" miata if you have all the money it would take?
My first answer:
"I'd buy a MSM Miata and bolt on the FM package that gets it up to 200whp, and I'd use that as my daily. I'd keep my '99, but I'd remove my roll bar, and weld in a full cage. I'd sell my trans, rear, and engine; cause I'd go the LS V8 route. It would probably have about 550whp NA."
Then I thought...forget that MSM.
Second answer:
"I would definately keep my '99, but I would do an LS swap for sure. Possibly more tame though, like a LS6 with about 450whp? Full cage for sure, camshaft that sounds like it's all business, no A/C...pretty much the same way my car is now, but on start up, your hair stands up on the back of your neck. It would cart me to and from work the way it does now, and I'd get in the mid to upper 20 mpg's on 93 octane; but it would run 11's anytime I mash the throttle."
What would you guys build??

I would buy an RX-8, throw out the renesis and do a 20b with a pheripheral port. Strip the car down to nothing, and cage it, full suspension, a BBK for 17" wheels.
At the same time, I would finish the miata and continue driving it as is for the next year or so, at which point I would sell the track miata to someone. buy another miata for my daily and track the RX-8.

i would sell my current, get a 2 low mile nb's same color ones.
turbo one and v8 the other.
shoot for the 350hp out of the turbo car. and go big or go home on the v8, with 500-600hp. and save the rest in a few high interest savings accounts.

I would keep my '91 turbo to play with and get a 2010 to go on wine and cheese runs. Oh, wait, already did that. Guess I'll just spend the rest of it on hookers and blow!

I would buy a kickass garage and 8-9 spec miatas. Then probably buy a membership at the local private track and just loan out cars to my friends on track days.
The MSM would also get bored over to a 2.0ltr, gt30ish turbo with custom mani. Forged internals the whole chibang. Once I was right around 400 hp, I would buy the fastback conversion. as well as rollcage, frog arms, frame rails, bf brace, basically every bit of bracing ever. I'd get some custom tailored super duper comfy track grade seats and interior. Maybe a widebody kit or flares to fit my 9inch wide wheels in front and 10 inch wheels in the back.

Large garage, with lots more Miata's. I'd like a couple of NBs to compliment my NA's, I'd like a Black and Tan and a Shinsen. A Red MSM and an NC2. I'd really like to take my 95, strap a FMII on it with a new paint job, and I like the Simpson design raised hoods. I'd also use some money to replicate my hard boot cover and share them with the rest of the Miata world. Of course, I'd have to buy a red FD RX7 for the wife. It's her dream car and she won't let me forget it.
