Signed up. Figured I'd pop on there every once in a while. I've always wanted an RX7, and at the rate I go through cars I may end up with one someday.

I actually owned one in the past, was an awesome car. Bit old, was an 87 but was great to drive.

:brofist: Heck yeah, Rick!

I have a rotary myself, had several over the past few years (Got rid of all of them but one for my Miata).

The RX7s are shoulder to shoulder with the Miata for the best cars I've driven.

Me? I had a rotary swap planned out, prototypes actually made for a fairly painless engine swap....

Then I realized how cheap it was to turbo the Miata engines.

It'd be about ~4k-5k for the items just /for/ the swap (Subframe, engine mounts, exhaust header, etc.), plus the cost of engine, tranny or clutch, etc., and this is ~160rwhp N/A.

It'll run me about ~4k for the entire cost of the car (Yes, including car!) to hit ~240rwhp turbo.

That made the decision for me.

You can build a engine capable of ~300rwhp on the Miata just for the cost of a good turbo rotary core - core. Rotaries are...freaking amazing, and I love the hell out of them, but the cost of them can get absolutely ridiculous.
