My name is Brendan and I bought my 2003 LS last September. It only had 37K on the clock, so not much work was needed. I put on 11K in the past year and now it's time for brakes and some suspension upgrades. I look forward to checking in here and asking questions.

Here she is...

very nice choice in car, i recommend wheels and tires, and a good setup coil over (not the low and slow stuff).

Larger sway bars will improve feel. So will stronger springs and better dampened shocks.

Welcome to the forum!

Beautiful car! If I were spending your money this is how I would spend it:

Head over to 949racing and give Emillio more money as follows:
Tien Flex Coil Overs and a set of 4 15x8 6UL unless race car then 15x9 like mine and also nab some Racing Beat Sway Bars. Next, go over to TrackSpeed Engineering and give Savington some money for his Big Brake kit (still on my todo) and an upgraded radiator. Then, I'd go to FlyingMiata for more money spending and get a HardDog Rollbar and Flying Miata frame rails and Boss Frog Arms.

You'll have a great setup and lots of stickers. Or, trade me cars and you'll have most of this ---- done already (albeit not as pretty).

This will tide you over till you cruise into miataturbo and decide you need boost. By that time, TrackSpeed should have their new Turbo Kit using the BW EFR turbo out and with your VVTness you will have a really fun car.

Thanks, everyone. My goal is to keep the mods simple since it is my DD. Once it no longer has to shuttle me back and forth from work, I have no doubt I will go overboard with mods as I have in the past.

Welcome nice car. At 50 k miles your stock shocks are done. I love Bilstiens they outlast everything. Fat cat makes custom valved shocks for good price. I don't like tien fast but poor service. Bilstien is faster even stock Bilstiens. 949 racing has a shock that is made by asp that is extreme and better priced then asp's direct from asp. Plus they are made to 949 specs and are way better race shocks. Illuminas for the street guy though is my humble recommendations?.
