Default gas smell

Does anyone know how to get rid of gas smell? I have it inside the car and inside the trunk, but I don't believe I overfilled the gas tank. Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it? Thanks

Same problem here on my '99. So far I've tightened then replaced the clamps on the hoses going from the filler pipe to the fuel tank, have even taken the spare tire out and washed it, also took one of the seats out and pulled the carpeting off the back access panel to see if the smell was coming from the tank, which it didn't seem to be. Smell still seems to be coming from the trunk but none of the hoses appear to be seeping. Now waiting to let the tank run down a bit and will start replacing the hoses one at a time. Hopefully somebody will have a better solution.

Had the same problem on my 2000. Removed the trunk panel, exposing the gas filler hose cover plate which is held in place with 3, 6mm bolts (10mm head), and after removing the cover plate located the hoses leading to the tank. I loosened the clamps, wiggled and twisted the hoses until they freed up. I checked the nipples for corrosion, and finding none inspected the hoses. Fill hose had some light scaling inside on the mating surface. I cleaned it up with 400 grit sandpaper. I reinstalled everything and have not smelled gas again.
