2002 miata with some overheating problems
Mother stated that the temp guage got up to 3/4 while she was sitting in traffic. The passenger side fan kicks on with the AC, but we can't get the driver's side fan to kick on. The fuse under the dash was corroded turquoise. Replaced it, and jumped the fan, and it works. Scangauge 2 shows the water temp getting up to 222F. The night before it would cycle about 200F or so in colder weather. What should we be looking at?

180-220 is "normal", although 220 is on the higher side.
Track posted an image of the general temps on a stock Miata, notice on OEM, there's a deadspot, anything beyond 12 o'clock is too hot. If she ever hits 3/4s again, as hot as it may be outside, turn on heater at full blast to try and remove as much heat from the coolant as possible if you can't pull over.

My car would overheat with the AC on in the middle of the summer if it sat in a hot parking lot. Is it missing any of the plastic ducting around the radiator or bumper mouth? That will cause it pretty quickly.
