Default side view mirror wobble

Hi,

I have a wobble in my left side view mirror. I think the problem is that the rubber gasket between the door and the mirror foot is kaput. They call it a "mirror foot gaskets" on one website, but I cant find the gasket on its own. Anyone know where I can get one? or an alternate solution.

thanks

auto parts stores should sell a make your own gasket kit. should work. or a sealant of some kind should work as well.

My mirror fell off. I looked into the ball socket and the metal fastener that holds the top to the mount had completely rusted through. No amount of sealant is going to hold it on now...

lol, overrated, but required.

I bought a set of electric mirrors a few months ago. It is the one thing I find a pain to adjust (on the passenger side) while driving.

Installed the new mirrors (on both sides) this evening but have not yet wired them up. Picked up the mirror control switch off eBay.
