Opinions on Miata i would like to purchase
Hello all, new to the site here, not sure if this is the right place to post this, but figured I would. I found this Miata on my local Craigslist and think its a pretty good deal and looks in good condition. I would really appreciate all input on to what you all think of it and questions I should ask the seller. Also, the seller said he bought the car a year and a half ago with 90k on it, said the previous owner replaced the timing belt, water pump, battery, radiator and gaskets were replaced before he bought it. He said the owner showed him receipts for all work done.
Thank you all for you time and input!

The car is a special edition black and tan, which should be a package C car
Optional Features
1992 Miata Options
Package A: Power-assisted steering, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power mirrors, aluminum alloy wheels, and headrest speakers.
Package B: Package A items, plus cruise control, power windows, and automatic power antenna
Package C: Package B items, plus Tan interior with leather seating surfaces* and Tan vinyl top (n/a with Mariner Blue)
Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) (requires Package B or C)
4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive
Viscous-type limited-slip differential (requires manual transmission)
Removable hardtop with rear window defroster (requires Package A, B or C)
Air conditioning
Mazda Sensory Sound stereo system with compact disc player (requires package B or C)
Now onto the car as seen in pictures, if there is rust in front of the rear wheels, it is common, but can get pricey to fix, also looks as if it needs a complete paint job and some body work. Get rid of that style bar asap, if you need a reason google miata mouse trap you will thank me for this advice. if you want a roll bar look up hard dog, boss frog, true roll bars not style bars. wheels should definitely be a make or break thing for you, you can generally get a set for 500 give or take off of the honda crowd. 4x100 bolt pattern wouldn't recommend bigger than 16's. parts are fairly common for these cars on forums like this so whatever its missing chances are somebody has one laying around. i generally check if anyone has a part im looking for before i try to get it new from a parts store. The radiator looks fairly new, you can tell this by the color of the plastic tanks. if they are black its fairly new, when they age they turn a greenish brown color and that is when they are about to go. i would also ask for the original air box, believe it or not that cone filter hurts performance because it pulls in warm air, mazda did a fairly good job with the stock one.the top looks to be in fairly good shape, the vinyl rear windows fade over time to the point where it is very difficult to see out of, keep that in mind.
To some it all up i would try to work it down a bit due to condition of the paint, and would see 2500 would be a good price in my opinion. hope this info helps you in your search for a miata.
