"Marry Me" with Miata's
One of our club members is going to pop the question to his lady by having at least 35 Miata's park in the shape of "marry me" in a parking lot. He operates an aerial photo company using small drones with live cameras mounted to it so the picture shows up on a ground monitor. His lady will think they are just out on a "shoot" but will actually see his proposal via the monitor. So far we have 26 Miata's set for this clever proposal but a few more would make it even better. Anyone in Southern California with a Miata can join our group this coming Sunday, June 8, at the parking lot of Temescal Canyon High School, 28755 El Toro Road, Lake Elsinore, CA. 10:30 AM sharp. After this is complete there will be a ride over the Ortega Hwy. and up to "Johnny Rebs Southern Roadhouse" in the City of Orange, CA for a late lunch/early dinner. Please contact me IF you are interested. (949) 701-6866 cell

Thanks sixshooter for reposting this. As of this evening, Saturday June 7, we have a total of 38 Miata's ready for this proposal. I will try to post the final picture when the groom gets it out to the participants. Thanks for all of your post views.

Well folks the "marry me" proposal came off without and hitch and she said YES! We had more than forty Miata's converge at the high school. The "groom to be" had a film director friend coordinate the "staging" of the cars to spell out "MARRY ME?" using our cars. No color scheme but we had all the colors of the rainbow! When his drone flew over, we were all in our cars waving up at this six bladed "eye in the sky" hovering above us. We were told later that the bride to be was in control he camera while he flew the drone. When it was over us he had her turn the camera to a downward view and she instantly read the message and said yes. As soon as I know where the video will be posted I will let everyone know.

It's pretty easy. First, consider resizing the pictures if they are hi-res. The forum MAY do that automatically, but I'm not certain of that. If the upload fails, you'll need to resize the photo to make it's file size smaller.
There should be two rows of icons above the box you type text into. The upper row has a box that looks like a paper clip....an ancient analog bonding mechanism. If you click on it a new box opens up, entitled "Manage Attachments". You'll see a bunch (3...that's a bunch, right) of buttons labeled "Browse" in the top half of the box. Click on the top "Browse" button, and browse to your picture folder on your computer....in your case "My Documents". Double click on the picture you want to show.
The Drive, Folder, and Picture Name will appear in the area called " Upload file from Your Computer". Now click the "Upload" button to the right of the "Browse" button. The picture will now upload.
A new message will pop up which says "Current Attachments" with your picture's file name beneath it. Double click on the file name, and the picture will open up. Right click anywhere on the picture, and click on "Properties" on the file list that opens up. On the Address line, you'll see a text string that looks something like this...."https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...1&d=1402706143" Copy that to the clipboard, using "Control C".
Now....Ensure that your cursor is in the message text box where you want to insert the picture....Click in the box!
In the second row of icons there is one that looks like a landscape picture, with a sun and mountains...if you live on a planet with a red sun. Click on that icon. Clear out anything that's in the white box, and insert the Address using "Control V". Then click "OK". Your picture should now be in the text box you're typing into.
