Default 91' Miata hardtop didnt fit

I have a 1991 miata and A hard top did not fit, we tried to adjust the back clips on the hard top but then the front clips on the windshiled frame did not clamp down and the top was kiddie cornered, I need help please

it was weird, the back clips would line up but then the sides and the top clamp brackets wouldnt fit right

is it original ? I heard snug top doesn't fit well. It should slide on smoothly.

I had to shim the rear mounts to fit snugly on my car, but it was square. I'll guess your frame is tweaked or the top is aftermarket.

Try taking the guts out of the rear latches, connect the front and sides snugly, then put the guts back in the rear mounts and see if it will work that way.
