1995 Mazda Miata Ubercharged, 248 whp - $6000
1995 Mazda miata mx5 -- located in Ridgeland, MS
Mileage: 157000 miles
Engine Size: 1.8
Wheels/Tires:
Enkei RPF-1's 15x7. Tires are Kumho's, good tread still but rubber's probably fairly hard now, definitely not sticky summer tires.
Suspension:
-8 way adjustable KYB AGX dampers converted to height adjustable coil overs
-Front 6" x 2.5" 370 lb/in springs
-Rear 7" x 2.5" 275 lb/in plus zero rate tender springs.
-Front 3 way adjustable Racing Beat 15/16" sway bar with poly mounts and mazdaspeed heim joint end links.
-Rear currently has the thinnest stock sway bar ever made (11mm) installed for easily controlled oversteer on tight autocross courses. Mounted with stock rubber bushings and mazdaspeed heim joint end links.
-Car also comes with a 16mm Racing beat 2 way adjustable and matching poly mounts. Swaps out in minutes, and even on the softer setting will dial in crazy oversteer if drifting is your bag. It's not my bag baby, the car is set up for serious grip.
-Carbon impregnated (NO SQUEAKING!!!) black COMPLETE poly bushings installed throughout. This was a huge shitty job. But made a dramatic difference to the predictability and agility of the chassis.
-Flying miata rear upper heim joint damper mount. Beautiful billet mount that added an inch of rear suspension travel!
-This suspension isn't just thrown together. It's been corner weighted on billet digital scales to 50.03%. And tuned to perfect balance. Very slight understeer at high speed, with oversteer ALWAYS just a slight stab of the throttle away. On sweepers it is so easy to ride a perfect four wheel drift, steering with the throttle, it's heaven. . .
Engine:
-Stock, original long block-Whipple supercharger and M.O.A.B. (mother of all blowers) supercharger kit installed at 140k miles. The timing belt, water pump, and gaskets were also replaced then.
-Racing Beat Stainless Steel Header. With beautiful, thick, cast, stainless flange.
-Flying miata complete exhaust system with catalytic converter. I will also include a custom, insulated, cat-delete/test pipe.
-FULLY TUNED AEM EMS, don't underestimate what this means! This is a FULLY programmable ECU with programmable traction and launch control,
that has been street tuned for a year and a half and perfected on the dyno!
-MOAB U3 (air-to-air intercooled) supercharger kit, designed by Corky Bell himself, utilizing a twin screw/positive displacement Whipplecharger, and custom cast intake manifold! This kit was $5800 uninstalled, and with out the $1800 AEM EMS.
-Vishnu dual feed fuel rail with Sard fittings and Earls lines.
-NGK iridium racing plugs.
-550cc RC racing, matched fuel injectors.
-Buick Grand National MAP sensor.
-Walbro 255 Supra high pressure fuel pump.
-SX fuel pressure regulator with fuel pressure gauge.
-Innovative LC-1 wide band Oxygen Sensor with analogue gauge. Running in open loop with the AEM. Awesome AFR control!
-Flying Miata Boost Gauge.
-248 hp / 224 ft lb AT THE WHEELS on the Dynojet at TTP in Little Falls NJ! With 18% drivetrain loss that's 301 hp. (a stock miata is 95-115whp!)
-Car is currently running with a "small" (67mm) pulley that spins the supercharger to 19.7 psi. I will also include the "large" (80mm) pulley and matching belt for 12 psi.
-The SD tune is conservative enough for 19.7 psi on 93 octane in ANY weather. Even with slicks on, the rear can be broken loose at will in second gear! With the positive displacement supercharger and epic tune, this car makes over 200 ft lbs at less than 2500 rpm at the wheels! Find a turbo miata that can match that.
Sorry for all the caps and exclamations, but the engine is really that awesome.
-Rev limiter raised just 200 rpm from stock to 7400 rpm.
-All new belts.
-Always run Mobil1 or Redline 5w30
Drivetrain:
-ACT clutch
-Torsen limited slip differential
Brakes:
-new rotors
-EBC Yellow high friction pads
-stainless braided lines
Interior:
-Boost gauge and oxygen sensor gauge in custom cluster ontop of dash.
-Fuse blown for the stock tach, but all other gauges working/lighting perfectly.
-Flyin' Miata gauge faces
-A/C blows COLD!
-Beige soft-top with glass window from NB Miata, no tears or rips
-Matching red hardtop
Exterior:
-Original red paint. Not perfect.
-S2000 style antennae
Purchase options:
$6000 buys the car as described above, minus the RPF-1 wheels and the hardtop. Buyer must bring his own 4x100 wheels.
Enkei RPF-1 wheels are $600 if car buyer does not want them (but I will probably keep them).
Red hardtop is $900 if car buyer does not want it.
$6500 buys the car as described above, plus the RPF-1 wheels but not the hardtop.
$6800 buys the car as described above, plus the hardtop but not the RPF-1 wheels.
$7200 buys the car as described above, plus the RPF-1 wheels and the hardtop.

Still a possibility. That was the original intent, but I just haven't had the time to mess with it.
Any parts you're interested in?

New pics! Note that the steering column cover and seatbelt tower covers are missing in the pics, but I have the parts, they just need to be replaced. If you have any questions, fire away!

Matt,
The more I chew on this, the more I think your price is way too low and I should buy this car. Especially to a yanky like me:
1: Southern car with zero rust, she looks great. That adds 10%+ to us up here that can't do a jb without shearing a bolt or busting out a torch. No mods bone stock, she will fetch $4k here easily.
2: Hardtop is $1000 all by itself
3: Wheels are $1000 by themselves
4: Full exhaust is is $750 by itself
5: super Charger setup is worth at least $1500 or more to someone
6: Not sure how much this well setup suspension is, but I'm guessing it fetches at least $500
I'm at on the low side $8k parting it out minus putting stock crap back in. I could "upgrade" with my spare NB suspension and wheels for free and make at least $2k and my guess is really $3k if I was patient.
