Droopy Eyeball Vents, removal and fix
#2
I used the double hook method ( two pieces of wire with a hook bent on one end of each wire, hook into eyeball vents and pull) to remove three vents. The fourth on the passenger side would not come out for any reason, without causing damage.
So I cut a piece of plastic out af a old bottle of anti freeze about an inch and a half wide and slipped it between the rim of the vent and the dash.
I kept sliding it around till it had gone in about 3 inches and sat in the 9 O'clock position. that puts it between the plastic tab of the dash and the indentation of the eyeball vent.
Inserted one the hooks on the same side, gave it a tug and it fell right out. bbeen trying to get this out on and off for a few weeks

at first I put the velcro at 12,3,6, and 9 O'clock.
Didn't work as it was way too tight and I couldnt put the vent back together.
So I put them at the 12 and 6 position as the indentations were at 3 and 9 and I thought it may be to tight.

velcro is about the size of your thumb print.
after I put everything back together and reinstalled the events. went for a bumpy ride. the vents never budged..
They are tight and right a little stiff to move but works
