Default Carpet Replacement NA

I have spent the last few days tearing out the interior.
Pulled all Plastic to paint
Pulled dash and seats to get to the carpet
Pulled the carpet.

Planned on ordering replacement carpet from stock interiors,

Has anybody done this. if so advice and tips would be appreciated.

also where did u order ur carpet.

I am thinking about spraying a rubber liner on the floor pan, then laying over it with insulation.

your thoughts

Default carpet

I ordered carpeting 2 days ago from Stock Interiors for my 2006. I should have it in a few days. I'll follow up with a comment on the product later.

I've heard in the past that many of the aftermarket carpet sets don't fit nearly as well as the factory stuff. It's been recommended to many to find a good used set from someone like Partsgroup. I haven't replaced it myself but I've yet to hear from someone who's been satisfied with an aftermarket carpet on an NA.

Hey DM, I keep hearing the same thing, several forums same info.. but out of all of em only one person said they actually did it. gave up and bought a used one,..

I wonder if they used a heat gun to help form it and such. the biggest question I had was where to get a gud quality carpet. but now its. wot to do.. lol

already pulled mine and would much rather go back with a new one versus a used one ..

Tell me about it. If I wasn't so paranoid about fitment issues I'd change my carpet everytime I bought a used car. I just got in the habit of steam cleaning the old stuff and re-using it.

But you're right, I've only heard about fitment issues, never tried it myself. I did have good luck with a new carpet set from J.C. Whitney for an old 66 Mustang, but they tend to specialize in old American cars and not modern(relatively) Japanese cars. If they even have it for them.

Nothing wrong with that, at least you know it will fit! Just give it a good cleaning and you're good to go!
