new to the miata game and forum
well i have managed to save up some money to buy an na6 or na8 but the question is what should i look out for and whats the best way to budget p.s i love drifting also i was wondering if i should start off looking for a na between the years of 90-93 and do a diff and driveshaft swap or should i continue to save my money and just buy 94-98 miata i dont know what to do would lke some tips and advice as well im sorry im new to the miata game

Welcome.
Miatas make lousy drift cars because they have a low polar moment of inertia. You need something like a 240sx or 240-260-280zx, RX7, or something like that with a high polar moment of inertia to make a good drift car.
If you can't afford the right car for the job, you probably can't afford to wreck it, and drifting is wrecking; Wrecking over and over again.

I actually had a long post written, but I hit back and it erased everything.
OP you should look into Autox. If you are set on drifting that's cool too. Just be aware of what sixshooter mentioned.
I'd say go for a 1.8 from the start. Preferably a 94' or 95'.
