I'm swapping 97 motor (5 speed) to 95 M Edition w/Automatic
Anyone see any problems with this attempt? I spoke with Hector at PR Motorsport and he said it should be no problem.
I have a 97 that I got Tboned in that was totaled. It still runs great but the body has other issues as well.
I bought a very clean 95 M Edition from a Columbian who lied about what was under the bra covering the front. Then he failed to mention he overheated it and blew head gasket. It ran fine and didn't overheat until I had it for a week or so.
Now that I have this dilemma of Bad motor in one and bad body on another I thought it easier to do a swap and keep spare parts, junk the carcass.

Should be no problem if it is a late '95 because they well be identical. If it is an early '95 there might be a couple of minor differences in sensors but you can swap the sensors from the bad motor into the good one. They went from OBD1 to OBD2 mid year in '95.
