Is there a proper solder for engine compartment (high temp areas)?
Hey guys,
I want to re-do some of my wiring in the engine bay, particularly the wiring extension I did on my M-tuned coolant re-route and my crappy TPS extension using butt connectors.
Is standard Radio Shack (60 tin/40 lead) Rosin-Core solder enough for the task? Otherwise, is there something you'd recommend (and easily obtainable) that'll survive the heat and vibration better? I was told that more lead is better for automotive applications, but not sure what's appropriate.
Thanks,
Jon
