Why? It all fits there. I wouldn't do that.
Disconnect the MC wiring, it should light up the e-brake light. If not, there's something wrong with the wiring. If it does, it's either full or a faulty switch. Wouldn't be surprised if brake fluid breaks those every once in a while.
